Religion teaches us that we can gain God’s mercy and God’s love through the works that we do. The Bible teaches us that it is only through Jesus that we can be holy and righteous. When we accept Jesus into our hearts, we are made righteous through Him. We aren’t made holy through striving, but through God’s overabundance of grace. “Overcoming Dead Religion” is a sermon series that was created to teach us to train ourselves to overcome the religion that keeps us in bondage and to be free through our identity in Jesus.
